ALENKA CARDENAS

My art celebrates Latinx culture and aims to bridge modern Chicanx style with traditional folk art. Using methods closely aligned with those employed in Mexico, I incorporate modern subject matter to create dynamic sculptures. My goal is to craft pieces that engage the viewer's attention and foster an informal dialogue between the viewer and the sculpture.

Playful and interactive, my work encourages the audience to participate in a tactile experience, making the art both accessible and impactful. Through my creations, I strive to evoke pride and connection within the Latinx community.
